Privacy Policy

Math Mastery Lab is built so that we do not track you, do not create accounts, and do not store your information on our servers. This policy explains that promise in the detail Apple and Google require.

1. Overview

Math Mastery Lab (com.mathmasterylab.app) is a math-facts practice app. We do not collect personal information, we do not track users, we do not show ads, and we do not operate user accounts or a cloud backup of app data.

Player names, settings, scores, and a parent PIN — if you choose to use them — are stored only on that device. We cannot access, sell, share, or recover that information because it never reaches us.

2. Who we are

This policy applies to the Math Mastery Lab mobile application and to this website at mathmasterylaboratory.com. The app and website are published by the independent developer of Math Mastery Lab.

3. What the app does not collect

The app does not collect, transmit, or store the following on our servers:

  • Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or mailing addresses
  • Account credentials (there are no accounts)
  • Precise or coarse location
  • Contacts, photos, camera, or files from the device library
  • Advertising identifiers or analytics events
  • Crash reports, diagnostics, or usage telemetry sent to us
  • Payment information (there are no in-app purchases)

We do not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, crash-reporting SDKs, or social-login SDKs. We do not sell personal information. We do not use the app to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

4. What stays on the device

To make practice useful, the app can keep a small amount of information in local storage on the device, including:

  • Player first names you type for local profiles
  • Practice settings (operations, tables, timer, attempts)
  • Scores, streaks, missed facts, and session history
  • An optional numeric parent PIN and related lock settings
  • A flag that the one-time welcome message has been dismissed

This information is stored with the app on that device. It is not uploaded to Math Mastery Lab servers. If you uninstall the app, the operating system deletes this local data. We cannot restore a forgotten parent PIN, because we never receive it.

5. Children’s privacy

Math Mastery Lab is designed for children practicing math facts, typically with a parent or teacher nearby. We do not collect personal information from children, including children under 13, and we do not require an email address or account to use the app.

Please use a first name only for player profiles. Do not enter a child’s full name, email, address, or other contact details into the app. Because we do not collect this information, we also cannot use it for marketing, profiling, or advertising.

Parents who believe a child has entered extra personal details in a local profile can edit or delete that profile in the app, or uninstall the app to remove local storage.

6. Optional microphone and speech

Voice answers are optional. If you enable spoken answers, the app asks for microphone permission so the device can hear a spoken number.

Speech recognition is performed by the device operating system or the speech service the OS provides (for example, Apple, Google, or Samsung tools). Math Mastery Lab does not receive, store, or upload those recordings to our servers. You can leave voice answers off and use the on-screen keypad instead. You can also revoke microphone permission in system settings at any time.

Depending on the device, the operating system’s speech service may process audio according to that vendor’s own privacy policy. That processing is not under our control and is not a Math Mastery Lab data collection practice.

7. Sharing and printing

From Review, you can choose to print or share a local PDF summary of practice results. That file is created on the device. If you share it, you choose the destination (for example, a printer, Messages, or another app). We do not receive a copy.

8. This website

This website exists to describe the app, provide support, and host this privacy policy. It does not include a user account system or advertising. It does include a support form so you can contact us without a published email address.

If you submit the support form, we receive the category you choose, your message, the reply email you enter, and an optional screenshot (1 MB or smaller). We use that only to understand and answer your request. We do not add it to a marketing list or use it to profile children.

A math captcha runs on our server to reduce automated spam. We do not use Google reCAPTCHA or other third-party tracking widgets on this form.

We do not place tracking cookies, analytics pixels, or advertising tags on this site. We do not use the site to track visitors across other websites.

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like most hosts, Vercel may automatically log technical request data such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested, for security and to deliver the site. We do not use those logs to identify children or families, build profiles, or serve ads. For Vercel’s own processing, see Vercel’s privacy policy.

9. Third parties

We do not share app user data with third parties, because we do not collect app user data. The only third-party processing that may occur in connection with the product is:

  • Optional operating-system speech recognition, if you enable voice answers
  • Hosting of this public website (Vercel), which may log technical request data as described above
  • Resend, which delivers support-form messages to us when you submit one. Resend processes the content of that message, your reply email, and any screenshot you attach, solely to send the email.
  • Apple App Store and Google Play, which process whatever information you already have with those stores when you download the app — that relationship is between you and Apple or Google

If you contact us through the support form, we use that message only to answer you. We do not add support mail to a marketing list.

10. Your choices

  • Use the app without creating an account — there isn’t one.
  • Leave microphone / voice answers off.
  • Edit or delete local player profiles in the app.
  • Uninstall the app to remove local storage on that device.
  • Use the support form with privacy questions.

Because we do not hold a copy of your app data, we cannot download, correct, or delete on-device profiles from our side. That control stays with you on the device.

If a privacy law (such as COPPA, GDPR, or CCPA) gives you additional rights, contact us. In practice, we do not sell personal information and we do not maintain a personal-information database for app users.

11. Changes

If our practices change, we will update this page and the effective date above. The current policy will always be published at https://mathmasterylaboratory.com/privacy.
